Is 40 old enough?

There have been a lot of changes in technology. I used to own and play vinyl LP's - records - on a turn table.

When I was young - the only cable movie network was HBO, and we were the first on the block to get it.

No one had a personal computer.

The first popular way of listening music on the go was the walk man. Choices were limited to radio or cassette tape.

Gas was under $1.00 / gallon.

The only known ways of recording/playing video were the Beta/VHS systems - the came out after the first Star Wars movie.

I saw the first Star Wars movie in the theater when it was new.

People have really remained the same. Young people find new ways of rebelling the old generation, and the older generation talks about how they never behaved like that (BS). And everyone talks about how society is going down-hill and why the world is doomed. It's kind of funny if you think about it.

uncertain there have been many great things approximately becoming up in the 70's that basically won't be able to be discovered now. I had no want for cellular telephones and desktops while i became 19. It became great to basically understand my associates may be waiting for me while not having to earnings in each and every min. for an replace. I see many youthful females now days that are so caught up with having cloth issues that i do no longer think of i might appreciate myself having to maintain up with others to be in style. Many youthful females do no longer seem to understand themselves at present, they shake and instruct each and every thing to get themselves a guy. My associates and that i never have been that flashy, greater of a organic time, human beings did no longer seem to decide so hardly back in the 1970's. in case you had any previous vehicle that became cool, now all and sundry seems to decide by what vehicle you have and how great your financial organisation account it. i'm happy to have grown up when I did, sense somewhat sorry for the babies at present, each and every thing is so warpped and twisted.

It's going to hell in a hand basket. Actually, the way it has changed technology wise has been quite amazing. Our expansions in medicine, the space program, computers are phenomenal. Unfortunately, the breakdown of the family unit, interworld relations and the economy overshadow those accomplishments. Mankind is killing itself. And no longer at a slow pace.

I think it's changed for the worse, it's bad, it sucks, really crowded, people are idiots, housing is out of control, monogamy is becoming a thing of the past, everyone seems to be poly.

I'm 47, sorta old...

I like the things I didn't have growing up, like computers, microwaves, cell phones.

I hate all the new rules, like your supposed to wear a seatbelt, and all that safety crap at work. It was nice being able to smoke indoors.

The laws were less strict and we had less crime.

I'm soon to be fourty-eight. I do not know if that is considered "old." But society in general today really sucks compared to a generation ago and beyond that.
