10pm is a perfect curfew for a 16yr old. Most states have a curfew law now. A person under 17 shouldn't be out past 10pm anyways, unless your working. They are just trying to keep you out of trouble.

For now, prove to your parents that you can be in on time at 10. No later than that time. If you've been coming in later than that, or abusing it, that could be a reason why your parents don't allow a later curfew.
Once you've improved on your curfew, have a talk with your parents. Tell them a reasonable time, like maybe 11. Hopefully they'll understand. Just remember to keep this curfew and don't abuse it. It's all about trust.
As for your bedtime, it's for you to judge. You may go to bed at 11, but do you sleep at 11? Do you wake up tired or full of energy? This all depends on how well you wake up in the morning.
Take care,
Violet

I think it is a good curfew. That is also the curfew by the law. Although nobody follows it. But I am usually going to bed at 10:00. But That is my choice. But 10:00 is a really good curfew. Cause almost everything closes at 10:00 anyways (besides wal-mart and Hardees) So don't start and argument with your parents and be a good son!

I think 10 might be a little too early. Maybe 11 would be better. And I think you should definitely be in bed by 12. You can call that a bedtime if you want, but it's a good way to prove you're responsible. Don't talk to your parents about your curfew, though, until you can prove over and over again that you will be home at or before 10 every time you go out. After a while (about 2 or 3 months), if you can prove that you're responsible, maybe they'll extend your curfew.

Well im 16 and my bedtime in whenever i feel sleepy lol.
maybe if you think that your bedtime is early then talk to your parents about it, you should not involve other people and what their curfew time is, jst say that your now responsible to make your own bedtime choice. Maybe i suppose 11 it ok

well i think 10 is a really good time and it is quite late besides it gets more dangerous after 10
i think you should stick to this time and bedtime at 11 is decent because as a teenager you need more sleep
your parents oviously care about you be grateful for it

Whatever your parents say and the law say. Some communities have curfew for minors.
When you have children, you can set their curfew. You will be just as mean and stupid as your parents are now.
They probably had the same complaints about their parents.
Sorry, that is just the way life goes.

Don't start an argument you are ment to be proving you are old enough and mature to look after yourself so yelling and throwing a tantrum wont work. Talk to them calmly show them you are responsible and ask what it would take to make it later be a good boy and start acting like an adult and show them respect. Good luck

Show responsibilty by not arguing with your parents. If you are 16 then ten am. is appropiate partiuclarly on school nights.During the holiday period 10.30 am should be okay.At your age you are still growing and need sleep.Teens need 10 to 12 hours per night.
