Elevator Music basically means popular music which is easy, calm and peaceful to listen to.and are suitable to play in lounges, malls etc.

Beatles music is neither too loud, offensive or too controversial. And is easy-listening. Therefore it is technically called elevator music

Some kids just call Beatles elevator because they find it simple boring.

Hope that helped!

because they are too dumb to know better....

elevator music is usually popular tunes rearranged into easy listening jazzy versions(usually referred to as muzak)..

it is these muzak version that are played in elevators, and with the beatles being so popular, their music is used a lot for this purpose, but never in its original form!
