Expect God to do a miracle for you. He wants to do this for you! I was praying the other day for money, because I only am working part-time and make just enough to pay the bills. I do not have enough to buy my older children a gift and kind of felt bad, but they understand and did not expect anything. My boss gave everyone a $50 Safeway gift card (900 employees) and when I saw it I started to cry, because God saw that I really wanted to be able to buy them something. Now I can buy them some items that they need for everyday use, plus a box of candy! He is good to us all, expect Him to do something special for you, because He loves you so much. I was praying for you yesterday, you were on my mind.

Not really. Probably just a bunch of stuff that I don't really need that I don't know where to put. That happens to me every year not that I'm ungrateful. I mean I appreciate the thought that goes into anything that anyone gets me. I just wish it were something I could use or something that I really needed.

Even if you're not expecting anything "special", take a moment to think about the things you have which you simply take for granted (e.g. a roof over your head, clean running water, electricity, mobility, eyesight, friendship, etc., etc., etc.) - aren't they actually special enough?

Not I. As long as the kids are happy, I will have a great Christmas.

I already exchanged presents with my partner (a few days ago...) we do that every year, we can't seem to help ourselves, and anyway we're adults and don't have children, so who cares!! (I got a gorgeous wallet and handbag, some D&G perfume and dvds)
already got presents from his parents (a bottle of bourbon and an iron and ironing board...)
seeing his sister and her husband and son tomorrow... not expecting anything from them, although I'm sure we'll get something. We bought their son (our nephew) this really cool fisher price smart cycle... I put it together and had a play with it, tee hee!!!
and I'm sure my dad (who I don't speak to) will send me $200 like he does every birthday and xmas... trying to bribe me to talk to him.

Nope, purely livin' my lifestyles. i'm 12 and by way of this sucky deepest college. as quickly as I end the 365 days i will pass away it, pass to 8th grade at a solid college, in all probability a public college. looking forward to that, i assume.

Not really. I told my daughter that I want her to take care of important expenditures before she buys any gifts for us. I really hate to see them get more in debt. Just being together for a meal and celebrating Christmas means more to me than presents.

For me know
For the world I expect love and peace and the whole thing.
I would call it a gospel message but that would just be me

My mother always sends a gift, and as it will be a surprise it will be something special.
I have one already that was expected, and it is unlikely there will be anything unexpected from my brother.
