and he keeps his/her presence and the existence of an afterlife hidden for our own good. So we could develop positive things like faith, spirituality, etc.
Do you think that god could have anticipated all the wars and death that this uncertainty would cause? If so, why would he have continued with this plan?

Dude- weird indeed, perhaps there is a good reason to this. I would just like to know.

Penguin-if noone can understand god, then how come millions of theists claim to know what he wants, his commands, his punishments. If noone understands him then technically, we don't know anything about him.

Allie-the question is not about free will, read it again before you insult others. The insult does not bother me, its the way you sidestep the question. If it bothers you because you don't have an answer, then don't answer it.

good question

Apparently this god can see all time at once. So he sends his word down. Perhaps he sends his "son" down. He sees all human history as human beings are tortured, raped, mutilated, enslaved, and killed over and over and over. He sees the fingers broken, the throats cut, the drownings... all in his name. Yet does absolutely nothing to clarify his instructions.

My turn.
You know the Bible and historic Christian faith, says that any question asked of God 'for arguments sake' will be turned against the asker. And you've probably noticed this yourself from reading the Gospels, eg the question about the woman married to 7 men.

But you don't believe it. That is at least part of the reason why these things puzzle you. To paraphrase a friend of mine : You are trying to pull God's nose.

I'm not sure there is any plan but a goal to attain. It's about developing the self through the unknown. God, chi, life force, universe, the one, or whatever we may call it, is aware of possible deaths, wars, sadness, etc. It's all part of learning. To this god, there is no such thing as right or wrong. It just wanted the experience and this allows him/her to expand and develop. Thus, each of us represents the smaller fragment of this god that is sent out to explore what is possible. To me, it is all about learning on the great stage of life which still has alot of mystery to explore.

Its not hidden for anyone can see it and to say that it is not a question of choice or freewill is false you must chose to believe that you can know and then will seek the knowledge
Gods plan is for you to see the perfection beyond the self and beyond the physical sooner or later you will come to realize that perfection no matter what.
Good luck on your journey and have a nice day.

well i say that yeah he/she saw them knew they where going to happen but like a parent of an adult child really couldn't do much to stop them without interfering with their free will. i don't think God planned for all the wars but we have to sort ourselfs out sadly we have not learned from past mistakes so war continues. also if we didn't have wars we would be even more over populated than we are so i guess it could be view as a good thing. we are our only natural predator.

the reality is that a lot of those representations of God have factors that are actual . this isn't too confusing to understand. a number of those were glaring fictional like the spaghetti due and the unicorn. The Bible suggested to haven't the different gods earlier me . Gods is plural . this may factor out that there are different gods which will properly be positioned earlier Yahweh. i do no longer doubt their life and the Bible does no longer inspire this.

Well, God is supposedly omniscient. If so, then he knew all of this. Why would he have continued? That is the question of the day. Only a sick twisted critter would do something like that, in my estimation. So, perhaps he was bored. This is kind of like his version of Black and White. :)

UNCERTAINTY; as you think; is not the cause of wars and deaths of any kind and type.

There true cause is lack of;

Positive things like positive faith, and Positive spirituality etc in the self.; as the true inspirations of self

True knowledge and the knowledge of the powers and abilities of same in the self; as the true energies of self; to drive all to perform actions;

Awareness, alertness and ableness in all; for the knowledge and the knowledge of the powers and abilities of positive faith, and positive spirituality; as the true knowledge of self.

Consciousness; about true knowledge and the knowledge of the powers and abilities of all that which is positive and of all that which the self lacks; as the true powers of judgements self, by self

God is the only true source of all above; and there seems to be no one who is both a seeker and deliverer; and who can deliver the faith and focus of god himself; and the self of god his self; for knowing and realising the truth as above; and it is for this reason only that god does not exist inspite of the fact that he does.

When the faith and focus of self; in the knowledge; Awareness, alertness and ableness and in the Consciousness of war and death and the powers and abilities of same exists in the self; as the only medium of performances of actions of self by self; and as the only method for realising results and solutions for the actions of self; instead of those of god;then war and death only are scheduled to happen.

God exists, that's not a debate with me and I'm not going to argue about it.
