Most definitely yes. His only obstacle is the French Open where he keeps on losing to Nadal but I think he will win Roland Garros in 2008 beating Nadal in the final.

Only if he doesnt face Nadal at the French. Should Nadal pull out early with an injury or gets upset in the earlier rounds, Federer should absolutely win the French, and therefore solidify himself as the greatest tennis player of all-time.

But if he has to face Nadal on the dirt of Roland Garros, I dont like his chances.

so to answer your question...yes. I do think he will at some point win the French.

I think he can, but probably won't. His chances of winning the French are just as high as Nadal's of winning Wimbledon. On the one hand he is a two-time finalist, on the other hand, he still cannot easily beat clay-court specialists, not just Nadal. He is in a great shape mentally, but his game is not exactly suited to the clay courts.

In addition to that if you add the pressure of defending the other three grand slam titles can be too much. And his age is catching up with him.

With all that said though, I would love to see him win the golden slam in '08 though, which would make him the only male player to do so.

Federer may be able to win a career grandslam if he is healthy and injury-free. He is a great, focused, and determined player.

He has a decent chance. He's got the most complete game out there, he's still the dominant #1, and he's still only 26 and in good health. Certainly, if any of the current crop are going to do it, it will likely be him. That said, many greats have won three of the four, only to come unglued at the French... i.e.-Sampras, McEnroe, Becker, Edberg and Connors, just to name a few.

He seems to have such dominance on most surfaces that to me there is only one thing that has some fair chance of preventing him taking a Grand Slam in one year: as long as Nadal keeps playing up to his capability in France, Federer may never actually realize that dream!
But Nadal only has to be 'off' his game on one Paris occasion, and Federer could well join those few others in creating tennis Grand slam history.
He is certainly capable, and is well-poised, he just needs Nadal to be just slightly off his game in one of the Frenchies to do it.
