After installing Norton Internet Security 2007, my computer hangs up. Power button is how I need to shutdown.?

I thought Norton was a good program. I guess I need to unistall it to have my computer shutdown like it is suppose to. Anyone else have the same problem with Norton?

go to control pannel click on power options then click on the advance tab then change to option "when i press the power on my computer" to what ever you want it to do

Why do you do so if that's a good program? Wen need more detail to help.
