this idea was popularized by the author Z. Sitchin in the later part of '70's in a book entitled the 12th planet. If you read the book today, most of its contents has been debunked by the astronomical discoveries in later years up to 2007.There are planet x's still to be discovered including the ones farther from pluto(now being relegated toa minor planet) but not in the way that Sitchin envisioned it to be.
