There could be tissue remaining in your uterus. This could cause severe bleeding and/or infection. Which could result in death or sterility.

I would go to the hospital and get checked. How do you know its a miscarriage if you don't go. Besides, if it is and you don't pass the fetus, you could get a very bad infection, or cause scar tissue to form which would lessen your chances of getting pregnant again. Not too mention that bleeding could become extreme and lead to hemorrhaging. Your best bet is to seek medical attention NOW. Besides what if its not a miscarriage, my mom had extreme bleeding and the doctors said it was a miscarriage, scheduled a dnc for the following morning, but later that night they found the heart beat THANK-GOD, my brother is now 1mth from being 18. I would never recommend not seeing a doctor, that's just crazy. GO NOW TO THE E.R!!!!!
