I took the following shot in a recent hiking trip, but I could not find out what it is.

It isn't a turks cap lily, here is a picture of that;

It looks like a seed pod from something, maybe a broad-leaf evergreen from the leaves in the picture. Would help to know what kind of plant it is on, shrub, or plant? And where in the world you were hiking when you found it.
