Valerian root is the best thing I've encountered it's not a sedative, it just slows down your mind so it's not racing so much and allows you to drift asleep. it smells strong like cranberries cooking on the stove but has been a Godsend for me. Also you might want to try a mug of warm milk and nutmeg. The heating of the milk activates the triptophane in the milk which turns to serotonin which turns to melatonin the sleep hormone and the nutmeg is a mild hallucinogen which is what a lot of the prescription sleep drugs are anyways.

I fly aound the world for work on a grueling schedule, the key is a rich hot salt bath, or hot bath. USe himalayan salt or whatever and prepare for bliss. When your body cools down this simulates your natural process of cooling that occurs when you go to sleep. Oh and sex won't hurt one bit, for men we release tryptophan which kicks in the sleep hormone, works like a charm.

velarian root will help you rest at night without making you groggy when you awake... you can buy it at any local walmart, walgreens, kroger... not very expensive.. make sure you read the directions on label ... and watch out velarian is known for its strong scent. if your not sure about trying that.. try getting in a habit of only using your bed for sleep. dont lay around in it watching tv.. that way when you lay down your body will know its time to sleep. if your smoke.. try not to smoke 1 hour before going to bed.. dont drink caffeine 2 hrs before bed
