It depends on where it is. There are blue laws still on the books ,in some states, that can get you a statutory rape charge if you are caught in a conveyance with a person of the opposite sex with out your shoes on.

Whenever someone dies or gets injured from something that they could've prevented themselves, but couldn't, people panic and pass stupid @ss laws to make sure whatever happened to cause the incident doesn't happen ever again.
