WAS, as it no longer operates
Big O Orange.
it was a hamburger stand on the freeway between San Francisco and Sacramento that looked like a Big orange
the menu was really simple. Flame broiled hamburgers and fresh squeezed orange juice.
it was lodged beneath a magnificent oak tree and you sat and you ate the best burgers in the galaxy with a blisteringly cold glass of pulpy OJ. The burgers were HUGE. the glass of OJ was HUGE.
You had tomato and lettuce on it. NO condiments. "It ruins the flavor of the meat!" the griller would remark. He grilled that burger with the panache of a real artist.
The tree still exists and I see it when i go to River City, but the stand is a faded memory, even to many old-timers
