Yes it is worthless.

Getting an undergrad business degree from Berkeley , Wharton or Sloan, does not even compare to the same undergrad business degree most will obtain.

Comparing the creme de la crop of students to the average student is stupid.

If you get into Wharton, and they offered basket weaving, and you recieved your BA in adminstration of basket weaving, you would still make 6 figures.

The average undergrad business degree is worthless, the top tier b-school undergrad business degree opens lots of doors.

There are many inequities in the current employment system, and anybody can get a raw deal in their career advancement or the lack of it.

But no college degree is worthless. If you have the diploma, you have proof that you can finish what you start and acquire practical knowledge in an organized manner. Those two things in themselves are of great value.

Sounds like somebody may have been trying to bring you down. Hold your head up. Give it time. Don't give up. Keep looking and you will find what you want.

The key to a business degree is the concentration within the field. I am a business school student with a concentration in Economics and Finance and have interned with jp morgan and am set for goldman and sach this year so its all dependant on factors within your choice. I dont like the major of Business Admin too broad, try to focus it down so it is better suited for certain jobs.

The undergraduate students whom I taught at Berkeley, Wharton and MIT got six figure salaries at investment banks like Goldman Sachs. Does that sound worthless?

Business degrees are not worthless. ANY job is only worth what you put into it.
