Well, I have to give it one thumbs up, instead of two thumbs up.

+Will Smith is amazing in the movie
+Thought-provoking to a certain degree (i.e. What would you do, so on and so forth)
+Moments in the movie that captures Robert's (Smith's character) frustration/ psychological breakdown
+Sad moments may move you
+Itty bits of humor
+Some VERY amazing shots of an empty New York city, destroyed bridges, grass growing everywhere, cars piled up and not moving at all..

Now, the bad part
-The zombie/vampire hybrid are rather iffy, although this was kind of explained due to the fact that the monsters breathed really fast, and if a normal person tried to do so, he would hyperventilate.
-The ending felt too happy for me
- I don't know if you guys noticed, but I thought all the bridges were destroyed to quarantine the island (Now those that watched the movie, think what happens in the movie with the woman)
- CGI wasn't that believable in some moments, but, you know, kind of hard to unleash a band of Deers around NY, ya know?

Overall, it is a good movie, though there are some issues that prevent it from becoming AN AWESOME MOVIE. Of course, we can't argue about "movie being different than the book" because it almost always happens. I don't think I'd buy it though, I don't want to make my day feel gloomy. Made me feel like when I finished watching Seven.

I give it a nice thumbs up for being on the IMax screen. It was well done. I enjoy the movie experience of this movie. It relies on the depth of Will Smith to portray his character and even after learning his whole family died in the beginning with no hope of being reunited he still showed what true humanity and compassion is...even as he is loosing his mind and blowing zombie men up.

Thumbs up..!

The movie is very well directed and very sad. Especially when ___ dies. The audience laughed a bit when Shrek came on, but it still manages to keep it's humor. There were still things that could have been better. Like, having Anna and Ethan introduced earlier and getting to know Robert better. Other than that, it was good =)

The scenery was interesting, but the overall movie was the same overdone plot as a thousand other 'zombie' movies. (they hate sunlight, eat normal people, if you get infected you become one, etc.) So THUMBS DOWN for the movie as a whole. Computer generated 'New York empty' was pretty cool though.

Thumbs up.

I noticed that the movie is a combination of all movies he's involved.

E.g.
+ the CD music he played in his room comes from the movie Sharktale - Don't Worry
+ the creatures looks like i, robot
+ the airplane on the ship, the part where he played golf, looks like the one from Independence Day

I haven't seen it yet. Will check my email because they send me what shows are on at our new theatre. I will see what others here have to say and decide whether to go. Did you see it and if so, was it good??? Would you give it thumbs or down~~
EDIT: From what I have read here I'm not sure. Does sound interesting and we did see the reviews on TV. Shades of *Twilight Zone*

Thumbs down. Could have had a way better ending and was definitely scarier than I thought it was going to be.
