In what ways is Mac better than Windows?

I know Windows has got like a million virus threats and Mac has like, none, but I still don't think it's worth it. I mean they're about twice as expensive as Windows, they don't work with many softwares, including games, and if you buy a game for Mac, it's about twice as expensive as the same game for windows, and they don't have them in every store. My mom bought a Mac laptop once for about 3000 dollars, I believe; this was a long time ago.. And basically everything sucked. The screen was so thin, just by moving it or touching it it looked like it was gonna break. And after some time, it seemed that the keyboard itself was destroying the screen, cause it had little scratches all over it, and we had to put a piece of cloth there. The mouse had only one button. And after a while it go really slow.
So all of you Mac lovers out there, convince me to buy a Mac instead of a Vista. I'm open-minded; I think the new Macs look cool except for the price and the software problems I mentioned.

Well I thought people had some better arguments...

I know Bill Gates owns like half of Apple, but I everyone I meet is like, you should get a Mac, and I read all these magazines glorifying Mac, so I just wondered...

Let me put it to you this way. Mac is not better then Windows. Windows owns 90% of the PC market. Why would you go that route anyways. Just like you said, software is hard to come by and they cost an arm and a leg. Stick with PC they will move foward and beyond what Mac will do in a lifetime. What do you think Mac wants to merg with Windows in the first place, cause Steve Jobs knows that software is the key to make hardware run and with the market more on Windows you can't lose. Mac days are numbered.

Mac's are shiny.

Mac is meant for graphic design and educational applications. It can do more, but this is their primary focus.

The Mac is usually a more stable platform also. I used one for years, but finally had to go to a PC due to limitations in software.
