Looks like most of the big American gangster films have already been covered here, Except maybe "Millers Crossing" Or "Road to Perdition" but you should check out "City Of God" about the children run gangs of Rio De Jeniro, "Eastern Promises" about the Russian Mafia or "Ichi The Killer", a somewhat surreal take on the Yakuza gangs in Japan.
All 3 films are pretty awesome in their own right.
