The whole hoilday is kinda dark, its really a pagan holiday that the church tryed to make their own to trick pagans into their religion. Do some google searches and find some of the real meanings of christmas.. for modern day dark aspects I'd say the credit debt that people get them selves in, the lack of real family togetherness, kids being ruined and spoiled by a glut of gifts, people get fatter around the holiday, and etc etc.. Its like any other hoilday now that's been americanized and shot to hell never to be enjoyed for what it really is.

1. after christmas, We mulch the tree(more yard work for Me).
2. after christmas, We(I), take down the lights and, decorations(again, work).
3. My in laws, come over and, drink up all of My good liqour.
4. after dinner, We open all of our presents, leaving a mountain of ribbon and, paper(yet more work for Me).
5. around christmas, they start selling fireworks. this means that after all of that work, I can't even get a little rest.

I'm not really sure what this question means but, somebody destroyed a Nativity scene that is realy famous in my town and has been desplayed for over 70 years. Someone else stole a baby Jesus from a manger scene in someones yard.

I see a lot of people that suffer through deep depression during the holidays and it also intensifies the feelings of loneliness!!

I think that even at this time of year, you still have the crime, abductions, rapes and murders going on. And it is sad that with all the celebrations going on, it does not stop all the worldly atrosities that go on :(
