I have a Windows XP computer. A few days ago my mom put it so "sleep" by activating the "stand by" mode, the next morning when I went to turn it on, i pressed the button on the disc drive but it wouldn't work! The moniter light is on but the disc drive wont work. My dad says it might just have blown a fuse. Can anyone give me some tips on how to get it started again? Or what the problem might be?? Thanks :-(

oh and by the way, im not a blonde... wait yes i am.. thats not the point! I am on my Mac

with cordial attitude,
Cheerio!!

(- ;-) -)

Have you started the whole tower (assuming it's a desktop) back up? Because none of the drives (like the disc drive) will come back on until the computer is on again.

If the problem continues, force-restart it by holding the computer power button in for a few seconds, release it, and then press it again. :)
