a sqrt -3 * 2a^2=

since you are dealing with imaginary numbers here because of sqrt -3= i sqrt 3 * a sqrt 2

sqrt 7 * sqrt 14= sqrt 98=sqrt 49 sqrt 2= 7 sqrt 2

1.) If this is sqrt(-3)*sqrt(2a^2), then
i*sqrt(3)*a*sqrt(2).
If this is sqrt(-3)*sqrt(2a)^2, then
i*sqrt(3)*2a.
Either way, the result is a nonreal answer. If you haven't covered i or imaginary numbers yet, put down "no real answer" on your paper.

2.) sqrt(7)*sqrt(14)
Multiply what is inside each radical.
sqrt(7*14)=sqrt((7^2)*2)=7sqrt(2)
This one produces a real answer.
