Each time I try to write it to the E-Drive a message pops up saying that I haven't inserted the CD. I have a writable CD and all. Why does this message keep popping up and what can i do to utilize this function. I am trying to transfer school text. Thank you

First step is always to try to find the proper drive and download it. check the make of your CD drive, go to the company site and download the latests Drive that is compatible with your system. Also be sure that your CD drive is identified by your computer ( by going to control panel, Hardware, then look for the CD drive, if there is (!) sign, then it is not fully identified by the system.)
Good luck.

Without knowing your drive paths, perhaps you're trying to open the CD-ROM rather than the CD-writer (if you have 2 CD drives)

Well, I use Nero Lite-On and I use the burn option and select burn files to "Data" instead of sending files to a certain drive. Then you can burn them to cd as Data and it works everytime.
