Paps is nutty! I doubt his dog ate it and I don't care either. He has it I'm sure.

whether its true or not the Red sox and their fans are not upset or angry about it. the Hall of Fame has Paps glove and other 2007 WS stuff, the 2004 ball was more of an issue because of how it finally broke the losing streak, this ball is one that really only someone like Pap who got the last out really has the rights too. whether the story is true or not all in Red sox Nation are happy. I mean if I lived for 500 years lets say the ball unless taken very very good care of would be in such poor condition, unlike a memory and archived pics, videos and stories of the WS which last a lifetime.

I highly doubt that his dog at the ball. I personally think he's just saying it so there isn't controversy and like when the red sox won in 04 with Doug Mientkiewicz taking the ball. He's saying it so people will drop the subject.

Well, I believe it... there are many reputable sites that say it is true.

I think it is a shame that he did not have enough brains to take care of that ball. It really isn't that hard to keep it in a safe spot - out of harm's way.

yes the dog chewed up the ball. He even said his dogs name in the report, Boss. He said the remainder of the ball will be kept.

I also heard that after it happened, the dog did the riverdance to celebrate, and to mock Papelbon.

Nah. He probably lost it when he got drunk or something in the clubhouse.

It may be true, but by denying he even had it makes him a liar, so who knows.
