Zeppelin- no contest. no remember how ingenious a participant Jimi Hendrix became he basically did not stay lengthy adequate to compete will the Zeppelin catalog. The lack of life of Hendrix further to his lore yet he did not stay lengthy adequate to adapt or to blow us away at the same time as he became 60. unhappy yet actual... ZEP is the king and they positioned on the crown... I stated Robert Plant in live performance basically very last month on excursion with Alison Krauss and he can nonetheless carry an total target market. The Zep reunion gig formerly this 12 months shows that Led Zeppelin hasn't ever lengthy gone away... bands do not hassle about attempting no longer to sound like them anymore.

It's hard to choose between them, both are awesome...but I have to lean towards Hendrix moreso than the Zep. Purely biased reasons...I live in the Pacific Northwest and Hendrix was from Seattle :) If Jimi had lived, I think he would've done some amazing things.

Comparing apples and oranges doesn't work. They are great but different. Led Zeppelin has such diversity in their music, where Jimi has the most wild experimental guitar riffs. Just can't compare them.

Zeppelin for me. I admire Hendrix as the best guitar player in my lifetime, but I enjoy Zeppelin music more.

Hendrix was an incredible, original artist who was taking his musical direction into the realm of fusion - he was approaching from the rock spectrum, while Miles was barreling in from jazz. His talent and vision rates with only a handful of musicians (Armstrong, Coltrane, Parker, Ellington, Miles) and is a fresh today as it was back in the day.

This question cannot be honestly answered.
Although both approached rock from different directions, each was equally stunning in how they accomplished their goals.
Normally, I could make a decision, but this is a dead heat. Not even the photo will help determine a winner
