This is a class that is regularly offered as a community service by local hospitals and organizations for free. Call a couple of hospitals in your area. You can also talk to your local Red Cross chapter or any teacher who does birthing classes. Even groups who charge for the instruction rarely charge more than $40.
Good luck to you!

A standard adult CPR certification should run about $30-50 and take 4-5 hours. The American Red Cross and National Safety Council are your best options.
Non-certified classes cost less- from free to $20 in most cases but can be harder to find. Try your local fire dept. or community colleges.

You get what you pay for (in general) CPR classes take a business time and money to put on. Manniquens, Books, Cards, Building, Oversite, Internal Education. etc. Some cpr classes cost an arm and a legs (maybe they figure you will return for a first aid class to get them back). Rockford ambulance is a non-profit AHA training Center near Grand Rapids Michigan, and we must charge for our cpr classes to be organized and provide quality traiining. Also, when we have run classes for free to the public in the past, most of the participants did not show up for class as planned. Very disappointing. Thanks

RE:
How much does it cost to get CPR certified?
I was just discussing with my husband that we should get certified for that 'just in case' occurance that could happen to the baby.
If anyone has taken the course how much did it cost you?

Check with your local hospitals, YMCA, Salvation Army, or Red Cross, many may have free training for basic CPR. ( Your local fire station also!) If You want advance training, i.e., infant care, or specialty care you'll have to pay, up to $60.00, depending on your area, $15.00 to 25.00 for basic. Look around, there are alot of options. Ours was free when we had our baby, who was a month an a half premie. Ask your caregiver about programs for expecting parents. They also have conselors that can help, usually free, just have to ask!

Hello! I was 19 when I got certified. It cost $15 at a local fire station {I live in NV}. There are many programs that you can find in the area! It's been 3 years and I still have mine.

i went to a local one in town - it was $25.
I also went to an all day one - which was cpr/baby cpr/ and first aid, and that was $50..
so, just look around, because they are all different prices, and it is good to know. even the basics

depends on the level of the class, but an infant/child cpr class shouldn't be more than $35 most likely closer to $20. YMCA's generally offer this class at a discount.
