LOD pales in comparison to the Road Warriors.
Yes, I realize Road Warriors = LOD
Problem is, LOD was a WWF/E product. As with any non-home grown product, Vince never pushed the NWA/AWA originals (except Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels) to the level they achieved elsewhere.
Road Warriors were treated as absolutely, unbeatable monsters. In WWE, they were eventually treated as if they were Doink the Clown's illegitimate siamese twin brothers.

I will go with the first.... the first tag team to ever be inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame (2003)...the Fabulous Kangaroos, who held numerous belts in the U.S., Canada and Caribbean in a career that went form 1957-1983.
