I took my 2007 328xi coupe in for a service engine soon light and it took 3 days to get it back and I had to make no less than 15 phone calls just to get a status on it. I thought they lost my car and I was pissed...they gave me a Grand Prix as a loaner....SUCKED

BMW dealers vary greatly in the service department, unlike Mercedes dealers which are very good almost everywhere.

Most bad dealerships are in monopoly areas where there are no other options. If you live where there are other dealers, go elsewhere. Many dealers offer BMW loaners, which cures lots of ills. Your best bet for a good loaner is usually where you bought the car.

Calling BMWUSA may make you feel better, but it will do nothing else. BMW dealers are very independent, and unlike LExus and Mercedes, BMW doesn't focus on customer satisfaction as much in the service department.

Oh Wow, this is disappointing to hear. I've never had issues with BMW Service, however depending on the dealership, I have had crappy loaners. Just check with the dealer in question as to the type of loaners that they use. I would write Customer Service about the poor treatment.

yeah I have had the same problem with my car. Every time I take it to get serviced they are rude, and take FOREVER and half the time they dont even wash the car when they are done!

But I havent had a problem with the loaner though. They usually give me a newer 5 series.

are you serious.... what bmw dealer did you go to? the one here in MN is sooo fancy... they give you a bmw loaner when you bring in your car for maitenence... Now as far as customer service I don't know if they are great and stuff but why the heck would they give you a cheap american car as a loaner when they deal with high end german cars.
