i'm doing this lab report conclusion thingy, and it says we have to put a procedure in it. it doesn't really go into specifics besides the words thorough manner. should i put it in paragraph form or list?

I've seen it done both ways, but in technical journals, it is usualy done as a paragraph because it uses up less space.

A general rule when writing procedures for labs is it should describe what you did in sufficient detail that another researcher working in the same field could replicate your experiment from reading your procedures.

Important things to include weights, volumes, temperature(s) times of reaction, pressures, addition/flow rates etc. Grade/purity of chemicals & solvents used, sizes/types of glassware used. Any other detail which, if the person trying to replicate your work is not aware of, will cause chaos, like "caution, reaction will explode if temperature exceeds 100 C!"

It's best to list it out and number the steps. You should go through every action you did for the lab.
