everyone who say he is as good as they say he is dont really understand him and probably dont understand football at all. david beckham is not the complete footballer. as stated above he is a specialist, but most americans got the wrong impression of him because they dont know stick about soccer. they think its like basketball and they can just pass the ball to kobe or michael jordan (beckham) and he'll shoot from anywhere and score - and score 50+ points a game (ha!).
there are few better than him at crossing balls or taking free kicks. hes also a great leader on and off the field. dont worry that he's lost a step or two, he can outlast alot of these kids in the MLS because he's used to playing at the intensity level of the premiership.
i think people were expecting him to come in to the MLS like superman and score goal after goal. thats not what hes good at - thats not his position or his role and its never been throughout his career.

he is crap. like someone stated before, he gets by life thanks to his look. if he were as ugly as Ribery, he would not be making 50million dollars a year pretending to play in the crapLS (MLS). he is one of the most overrated players in recent history. and for those of you who go on and on about his freekicks.... you know nothing. if any of you understood anything, you'd understand that a much much much much better free kick taker was Sinisa Mihaijlovic. but then again he wasn't as good looking as beckham, so ofcourse you poofs would be unable to see past that. beckham was a decent player at best, but labelling him world class is just idiotic and a clear indication that you watch too much sky sports news. make you own opinions, don't follow the masses.
and ill have to say at this moment in time C. Ronaldo, without a doubt over Mr. Gaucho

yes and ronaldo is amazing dinho isnt anything special, people should stop bumming him, hes good at tricks and good on the pitch but not amazing. there are loads of players 10 times better than him ronaldo messi drogba kaka pirlo 4 example

He is a specialist. He is probably the best at bending the ball by applying topspin to his kicks and curving it at a precise angle. Put him on corner kicks, penalty kicks and feeder kicks to the scoring forwards and you have world class soccer. Play him at a different job and you have mediocrity at best.

he is a very good player. he has the best right foot in the game. he can make the best, most accurate long passes. his passes create goals. he is one of the best free kickers in the game. although he has not won in the international level, he has won many club titles, including the champions league w/ him being his clubs most important player
