This has happened before, just not with sex. I skipped a month. We practiced safe sex recently and i should be due for my period on saturday, is it possible for it to come late?

Yup, most likely it's due to pregnancy. If you then resume getting your period after a skipped month, or a few weeks' delay, that's most likely because you miscarried really early in the pregnancy, which actually happens in 65% or more of cases of conception. It happens so early, most women never realize they were ever pregnant.

yeah, it can be delayed for 9 months - it's called getting pregnant.

Nope it won't delay your period.

Stress, pregnancy, and health issues will delay it.
