Do optimistic people inspire or annoy you?

I have to agree with the depends on how I feel at the moment thing someone said. I try to be as optimistic as possible for my friends, even when I know they don't want to hear it (and I know because they get into that same attitude I get into when someone is trying to be optimistic with me, and I just want to punch their lights out). People, myself included, shouldn't get upset over though. I think it's unfair. Being optimistic is just another way of being supportive, and loving, and caring, and we shouldn't toss that to the side.

If they are realistically optimistic, I am inspired!! If they are "optimistically" deceiving themselves and trying solicit my support in foolishness (e.g., "he said he's not going to hit me anymore and I know he means it--he cried more than I did"), I'm annoyed.

Depends on their approach. Are they optimistic of themselves but cut others down at the same time? Do they like to share their optimism with others, or do they use it as a tool to make themselves look better than everyone else. It's all about the approach and sincerity of their actions.

when they`re optimistic just for the sake of being able to call themselves optimistic, it ANNOYS the hell outta me!
when they`re just generally optimistic & positive, totally inspire =)

Annoy usually cuz they jus try to make things seem better than they are even though you know they don't kno what it's like to be in the situation .. And if they do, then it's inspiring.
