it is a time to really focus on the birth of Jesus and think about God....how blessed I am! I also love to spend time w/ my family and getting off from school!!!!

Getting together with my twin sister and other sister's families and my mother on Christmas Eve - I rarely see them - there are three nieces, a nephew , nephew -in-law and three great nephews in the family now, and celebrating the birth of the Lord, which many in my family and many in our country really don't do, which is the true meaning of Christmas for me... Merry Christmas to you and your family and everyone else on the site....I wonder why everyone got a thumbs down for commenting on Christmas and Hanukkah- if you don't like it go ahead and write a question about your practices it's a free country...

sorry, I'm just kind of glad it's almost over for another year. We're Jewish and pretty much get left out of any seasonal good feeling except those we make ourselves and with our Jewish community. (we can't find decorations, wrapping paper, special foods, etc. We never hear Happy Chanukah from anyone- even people who actually KNOW us and know we don't celebrate Christmas, we're inundated by non-stop music- you know, there actually IS Chanukah music available!, everywhere we go- Christmas) Most people tend to forget that their are other people out there who celebrate other winter holidays besides Christmas. (jumping off soapbox now)

The break from school, seeing family, the whole holiday spirit, the religious meaning, and of course the presents too (just being honest!)

The joy it brings to children. It makes me happy,to see the anticipation on a child's face,while they tear open their presents. I can't wait to see what they got too!.
