I like hard wood floors, however my house has travertine and carpet in the bedroom, go figure!♥♥

Wood looks nice but it is very high maintenance. Vinyl generally looks cheap. That said, tile and carpet look best.

CARPET!!!!!!!! If you keep it clean, wood looks nice, but is hard under bare feet, tiles are cold and vinyl just looks like a public building.
No give me a nice deep shag any day ;-)

You can't beat a nice carpet. I think wooden floors make a room feel cold, especially the laminate wood flooring. Carpets make the place feel cosy.

I think wood looks better overall... Although, carpet is my favorite because its warm and comfy. Tile looks best in kitchens and bathrooms.

Hardwood flooring in the living room and bed rooms, tile in the bath rooms and kitchen. Carpet is filthy.
