This is good if you're trying to find music related to music you already like: Go to the website www.pandora.com and make a new 'channel' and put in a song you like. The website then proceeds to show you different artists and songs that are similar to that band. But if you're just looking for bands, check these out:
Pearl Jam
Finger Eleven
The Killers
Dragonforce
Rise Against
The Strokes
The Fall of Troy
Senses Fail
Matchbook Romance
Good Charlotte
Pixies
The Gothic Archies
New Found Glory
Taking Back Sunday
The Rocket Summer
Alkaline Trio
The Starting Line

Lately I've been listening to SAGA. It's a Canadian progressive rock band from the 70's nd 80's but they just released a couple of nice CD's in the past two years. I'm really impressed by them.

Basillica. Very hard, no vocals. Its like classical music almost. bass, 2 lead guitar, drum, 2 violins. Very cool. They have a myspace page you can check out.
