absolutely. I would much prefer to be the camera man on Christmas day and watch everybody open the gifts I got/made for them because I know they are all going to love it!
Giving is what Christmas is about, and I quit making a "christmas list" when I was 12. I'm always out their for others, especially this holiday season, even if its a simple "merry christmas" when I'm leaing something, it's enough to brighten someone's day.

It depends on if you are giving for the right reasons or not. I don't agree that you should give to receive praise. In general, it would be better to give, but not if you are going to be the one saying, "Look at me!!! Look what I did!!!! Aren't I such a GOOOOD person because I gave so-and-so such a great gift?" 'Let your right hand not be aware of what the left is doing.' In that case, I don't even think I would want to be the one receiving the gift.

It is better to give. But receiving is nice also, when your the one giving all of the time.

I like to give and don't care if I receive. I like making people smile when it comes to Christmas, regardless if I get something back or not. To me, it's better to give, but doesn't hurt if you receive.

Definately. If I could only give or receive... I would give. I'm not being self-riteous here, I just enjoy giving and it makes me happy when I see other people happy.

Yes!! Getting gifts is nice, but it is so much nicer seeing people open something you have given them and it's something they want or appreciate.
I give a lot of handmade gift and I can never wait until the gift is opened! I love it!

i like to give to others but i dont like shopping for people cause i never know what they really want or need thankfully i only have to get for my husband i dont know what to get him his aunt i have no idea and neither does my husband and my roommate which is the only person i know what he wants cause he doesnt stop talking about it after christmas i will buy for my nieces since i live in florida and they live in new york i will wait and see what they didnt get for christmas and get them that
