How does the band Coldplay compare with U2?

No!! Coldplay is a U2 wanna be band!! Ok, they have a couple of similarities, like both bands sounds are guitar based. To me, they seem to sing the same types of songs -- listen to the choruses; they sound like lessons for us to learn or kinda like ballads or hymns that are almost a chant, if you know what I mean. JMO!

no comparison. U2 is classic
although coldplay is a really good band.

i always liked coldplay more then U2, but of course, U2 is really good =)

I think they are similar. The singers both have soft voices and the type of music sounds similar
