Removing the Catalytic Converter, and the muffler will sure make it louder, and you may gain a few horsepower, but as the other person said, you'll have to work on the intake side of things to really get the full benefit of exhaust mods.

Take a look at your states laws on noise. Don't be too loud that you get pulled over for a violation. If you do, you also could get in trouble for not having a converter. Then the real big fines start comeing.

You can get more horse power, but you'll also need to get the cam shaft re-done so the timing is appropriate.

These days the engines are dependent on the back pressure created by the catalytic converter. With out the cat creating the proper back pressure, typically you'll lose horse power.

So you'll need to get a new cam shaft so the valves are timed appropriately as to eliminate the need for the back pressure.

It will sound much louder if you did both.

Power? maybe. You still have to swap out the intake (short or cold air intake) to get much more power.

Good Luck
