"trust" is an emotion word.

Always trust your intuition. Your feelings come from your intuition--the sense that something is real or not. We all know the feeling; some of us acknowledge it quicker than others. Sometimes we deny our feelings out of other emotions like love. But in all likelihood if you feel this way, something is wrong. If words and communication cannot resolve it, you need to really examine how much of yourself and your feelings to maintain the relationship or end it. You might change your mind a few times, but eventually you will follow your emotions. Emotions are a important part of our overall IQ, so your brain is telling you something. Of course, I am assuming you have good reason to feel this way. If you are feeling a general sense that everyone is deceitful than I urge you to renew your faith in people by talking to someone who really knows this stuff. Talking to someone can also help you sort out the "where do I draw the line?" Listen to what others have to say with a grain of salt but take it in as a way to make your own healthy decision.

I think that secure is to trust as ashamed is to guilt.
