I need to rent a car with a trailer hitch to haul a cargo trailer across country. I've looked at several car rental sites but none of them mention that they provide trailer hitches on any of their vehicles. Can anyone recommend a few nationwide rental companies that have this option? (Moving from Florida to Ohio, so the company should have branches in both locations).
Thanks for any help! :)

Hey guys,
Thanks for the responses!
The reason I am trying to rent a car with trailer hitch is I own a truck but my car I used to use to tow it has since broken down and I've gotten a new one. I'm not sure my new car (Toyota Camry) can haul the trailer... but it'd be about $700 cheaper to just rent a car rather than a trailer for a cross-country trip. :/

Meant to say in the above message that I own a cargo trailer, not that I own a truck.

normally a car rental company will not rent a car or truck with a trailer hitch, they just dont allow the cars and trucks to haul trailers, my only suggestion to you is to rent a uhaul truck, which can be very expensive .... good luck

If you're looking to rent a truck to tow a rented trailer, then why not just rent a cargo truck to begin with? U-Haul, Budget, Ryder, etc...
Added Info... Enterprise does rent pickup trucks, but I don't know if they have trailer hitches installed.

You can rent a vehicle with trailer hitch but it costs about 700$ more than renting a regular car

Moved from Florida to Arizona.
Sold almost everything truck, trailer, boat and stuff.Rented a Ryder,(CAUSE U-HAUL and Co. ARE JUNK)For the move.
Bought another truck and saved alot of time and trouble.
You can locate a car or truck in Ohio before you move there on the craigslist.Or sell your cargo trailer, load the Ryder W/ the car trailer and git-ur-dun. Be save.Good luck.

You won't find one and the reason is they have so little (almost no) call for them that it isn't worth the $2 to $3,000 it costs to install the hitch and wiring. Better off renting a small truck to move your stuff. U-Haul, Ryder and several others have various sizes and branches across the country. And Harold doesn't know what he's talking about. The cost is not that bad.
