let me start off as there is no point guard better then John Stockton(Magic is about the same though, but he wasnt a true point guard). Thomas isnt even close to stockton in assists, which is the most important thing for a point guard. Stockton, whos #1 on the all-time assists list, has more then 5,000 assists then the number 2 guy(which isnt isiah thomas) stockton has 1,000 more points, and could win you a game in the last second buy a great 3 point shot. Stockton also has way about 2,000 steals then thomas(stocktons #1 on all-time steal list) and a way better overall defensive player. He had a a better FG%, and FT%. stocktons great, and if not for the heroics of michael jordan more then once, he would have a few championship rings right now. Stockton all day. Go Jazz!

John Stockton

It's just like asking who's dirtier. lol. Rodman called Stock the dirtiest player ever. Michael Jordan would tell you it's Isiah. Well, Isiah is very diferent from Stockton. Isiah would get all the points he can while Stock is a quintessential pass-first-before-shoot point guard. While both of them are good leader I'd have to pick the one who has the rings... As Bill Russell himself says "nobody is going to question you when your winning". Isiah out ranks John simply because they finished the job well unlike John's two trips to the finals where they were back stopped by the Bulls Isiah went on to win against the Lakers and the Blazers to win two straight. The heart is there and the will is there.

"You can't question the heart of a champion" --- Rudy Tomjanovich

Hope this helps.

John Stockton hands down

besides the reality that Stockton is the best-ever premiere steals and help chief. Isiah is greater suitable. Stockton have been given 2 probabilities of triumphing and misplaced. Isiah had 3 and took 2 of them. The clincher for me, Isiah beat the Bulls and Michael Jordan did say that he concept he might never beat the Pistons. it is a few ****. a greater suitable question is, who may be a greater suitable GM. Isiah or 3 12 months mentally handicapped youngster.

Isiah had a ton of heart, especially the year he almost beat the Lakers in the Finals playing on one leg. But Stockton had the heart, the toughness, the stamina, the shooting touch, and most of all the ability to deliver the ball the his teammates where they could score. No contest.
