Brew strong tea (2 bags per cup of water), preferrably black, deep enough to cover your feet. while the tea is hot, soak for 20-30 minutes, 2-3 times a week. The acidity of the tea will help kill the bacteria that cause the smell.

The smell is caused by microorganisms that live on your feet. Whether they are bacteria or fungi, they thrive well in a warm, wet environment. So the best way to inhibit these microbes is to keep your feet dry. If you wear nylon stockings regularly, for example, your feet will often be kind of wet because the stockings don't absorb your sweat. So you can change to drier socks or use a spray. I prefer Dr. Scholl's Odor Destroyers. It keeps my feet dry all day. Don't breathe in the spray, though; I find it helpful to spray my feet in the bathroom and then leave and close the bathroom door.

Make sure that you are washing your feet regularly. This will help to keep the populations of microorganisms smaller. It is normal to have bacteria on your feet, and bacteria alone won't cause much of a problem. But if you have a fungal infection, it most likely won't go away on its own. Do you have macerated skin on your feet, especially between your toes? Do you have an itching or burning feeling on your feet? If so, you might want to use antifungal treatments like Lamisil. You can consult your dermatologist or podiatrist for a diagnosis and help.

If you do have a fungal infection, you have to make sure that you don't reinfect your feet. That means that you might want to throw out infected shoes and wash all stockings and socks, towels, etc. with bleach and hot water. Also, clean your bathtub and other surfaces that your feet contact with an antifungal product such as a cleanser containing bleach or Lysol.

If the smell is unusually bad, consulting a dermatologist or a podiatrist might not be a bad idea. Best wishes.

I, too, have a similar problem. I use a Dr. Scholls powder in my boots and shoes, but it's not strong enough for me, but it does take SOME edge off. What I suggest, is buying ALL COTTON SOCKS, a few new pairs, and two pairs of shoes, either the same, or ones that can go with almost anything you want to wear. EACH AND EVERYDAY SWITCH SHOES. Your feet sweat, even if you're not doing anything physical. The sweat passes through your socks and into your shoes and I think I read that if the sweat doesn't dry before you put them on again, the smell gets worse. Give it a shot. Also, try this: Soak your feet several times a week in an apple cider or plain vinegar bath. Mix 1/3 cup vinegar into a bowl of warm water. Soak for 10 to 15 minutes.

Well, a big factor to smelly feet is wearing shoes without socks. I know this from experience. After coming home from work or school, just wash your feet. A lot of times, what smells is not your feet, but your shoes. There is a powder you can buy to put in these. Hope this helps!

That smell is dead skin cells. You need to get a foot file and clean your feet in the shower. I would also recommend an antifungal cream like lamisil.

File your feet in the shower in the morning and then wash them. Do it again at night in the sink. After they are dry apply cream.

The tea thing that was mentioned is really suppose to work. I also heard it on Dr. Oz and the girl that tried it out said that it really did work. Just soak them in some tea, the tea will dye your feet a little bit, but it will dry them out where they won't smell bad anymore.

Wash them, seriously its actually normally shoes & socks that breed bacteria causing your feet to get infected day in day out wash/change your shoes & socks scrub your feet with a pumice stone in the bath make sure you dry them really well & apply baby powder and if theyre still real bad wear socks to bed with scented moisturiser on.

I used to have that same problem! So I changed to wearing only cotton socks and I only wear leather or cloth shoes, no plastic or vinyl anywhere on the shoes. With that and just taking care to soap up my feet in the shower every morning really well, that solved it.

Wash um. Seriously, wash them every chance you get. And in the summer wear sandles, don't bottle them up in shoes with odor and germs, let them breathe. I once knew someone that had smelly feet and it isn't because they just had smelly feet, but they use to work really hard, all they could do is wash um after putting in a hard days work.

soak feet in warm water w/ a cup of baking soda for 10 to 15 minutes and do this for the next 5 to 7 days; change all your footwear, and buy new pairs of socks...
