Since the density of conc sulfuric acid is 2.21 g/ml and you have 1000ml the mass of one liter is 2210g

The number of mols of sufuric acid is given by the formula mols = Molarity x Volume

mols of sulfuric acid is therefor12 mol

mols = g/ Mwt.
This can be rearranged by multiplying both side by Mwt and you get Mols X Mwt = g

or 12 mols x 98 g/mol = 1176 g

The % is part over the whole X 100 or 1176g/2210g x 100

Concentrated H2SO4 is 98% W/V.It is 36 Normal.--I think density of H2 SO4 is NOT 2.21 gm/ml.You please see a Con.H2SO4 (Analytical Reagent-A.R.- quality) bottle label.
