I just recently went off accutane (I finished my perscription which was 4 months) and I noticed I am getting 2 pimples on my back already. I just finished it a few days ago so why is this already happening?
I get it paid for me also and the 3rd month they put me on a generic brand because it was cheaper and I think it screwed it up for me because I started getting pimples again after my skin was clear. The fourth month I went back on the real brand of Accutane and it worked and i'm now finished my perscription of it. Should I ask the doctor for one more month of it? What should I do? Am I supposed to be getting pimples? I only have a few on my back which I didn't have any for a long time.

My back was the reason I went on acctuane. I had a lot of pimples and it cleard up with accutane and now I am getting 2 on my back already.

This happens to people and I think they start a new treatment of Accutane or up the dosage.

But if you don't want to use Accutane again there are many other options like people have mentioned, if your acne is mild. Stuff like Differin and face scrubs etc.

But Accutane is meant to fix it so if the new pimples disturb you please see the prescribing physician again.

I'd give Tea Tree Oil a try. It's cheaper, less of a pain in the butt to acquire and works surprisingly well. You can find it at health food stores like Whole Foods, Staff of Life, etc.

Pro Activ really works. Despite it being a little more expensive, you should definitely use it. It clears pimples up and protects skin from break outs. Good luck! Happy Holidays!
