what I really have a hard time figuring out is why women and gays still support Islam when they are prime targets of that type thinking?...Gays live under a death sentence and women are chattels..can it be that they think this will somehow change if these imams take power here?...

And you are naive enough to think that there aren't any of those things in this country, or the countries that we are allied with?

As for the "known" terrorist statements, the individuals being tortured are being tortured for information. They aren't tortured after being tried and convicted of terrorism - they are "suspected" terrorists.

See, the problem I see with your logic (term used loosely) is that you call them "animals" but yet wish us to use the same tactics they use. Wouldn't that make us just like them?

We claim to be more civilized and rational. Why should we then behave just as they do? I prefer the "innocent until proven guilty" approach. If we are so damn certain they are "terrorists", then we should have no problem proving it in a court of law - fairly and impartially!

I think that after the water boarding takes place and all the information is obtained we should not torture any terrorists, we should just blow their frigging brains out, chop up the bodies and throw them to the fishes in the sea.

It could just be me, but I think the current situation in Sudan is MUCH worse than Iraq. There's a lot of places where the people are worse off than Iraqis... but I guess they're out of luck because they don't have any oil

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. There are many that want to see the US government defeated. They want to burn their own house down while they are still in it.

John McCain a respected war hero doesn't agree with torture, it's bad for the US.

We should never splash water up someone's nose for 30 seconds to prevent the likes of 9/11 and the deaths of almost 3000 INNOCENT Americans should we?
That would be just too cruel and unjustified.
Go ahead and let them murder, rape, and maim innocent women and children just for fun.
We should never kill even to defend the innocent. That would not please the Democrats and the newspapers might write nasty things about us.

I thought we were stopping Hussein from developing weapons of mass destruction? Find any yet? Nice fallback argument. I suppose a chickenhawk like you thinks we should just attack every middle eastern nation.
