The same as you, when it's 12:00 am, it's hard to unwrap gifts when i'm half asleep(;

As for the family part, I'd want to be facetious and say "Huh, family... what's that"? I live alone and most likely won't be spending it with anyone. My something of a girlfriend won't be seeing me Christmas day as she's got things to do, and I really don't have anyone of my own to share Christmas time and traditions with. As for myself, I usually like to open ONE small gift up late Christmas eve and save the rest for Christmas Day. I need to create some traditions for myself even though that's not as much fun. I am looking forward to the special day and relaxing and munching on treats. Merry Christmas....

My hubby and I open ours on Christmas day. But not this year. We bought each other a Cell phone and a turntable that converts vinyl records to CDs or MP3s. The rest are at the kids house and we get together on Boxing day and exchange gifts. I am so excited as our one granddaughter is coming home for Christmas from up north. We all miss her.
That's my Christmas present.

We have always opened them on Christmas Eve in the evening (my parents didn't want to deal with us not sleeping in anticipation of the gifts). We still open them on Christmas Eve, but now we do it in the morning...
We open gifts with my husband's family on Christmas Day.
