Hi. The MIR space station. They had amateur radio gear on board and often spoke to amateurs on the ground. I was lucky enough to be one of them. Got a nice QSL card!

Yes, it was the MIR space station, probably the second most famous after the International Space Station. MIR has been inhabited for 4,594 days! Sadly MIR was decommissioned and burnt up in the atmosphere several years ago...
