I just noticed today when I was beside a building with my window rolled down, letting out my clutch or pushing it in, lets out a squeaking sound. What can this possibly mean? I can not hear this when I am inside the car and the only reason I heard it earlier was because the window was rolled down, with the sound hitting the building.

I think I have heard it slightly before but not this loud. I will also not that it was raining outside if that has anything to do with it. I have 100k warrenty on the car, should I take it in to get checked?

It is more than likely a dry or failing throw out bearing. Mitsu doesn't warranty parts that wear out normally, but this bearing is a grey area. If you have a good relationship with them, they'll likely do it. That said, you would certainly want to replace the clutch at that point so wait until you are closer to being out of warranty (or if the noise gets worse). This will get you free labor (big $), all you'll pay for is the new clutch.

A Lancer OZ is not a turbo. You probably have a noisy clutch release bearing. Not sure if you're warranty covers clutch parts, so go and have the Mits dealer check out the car and the warranty policy.

It wouldn't hurt to take it in and get it checked out if its still under warranty.
