Most failures of programs are caused by spyware and viruses. After that is done try to play it again, if this does not work unistall the game. Then after unistall do registry cleaning. Then reinstall it should now work. If all else fails login to EA games, they will know what to do.

I had this problem with my sims 2 game also.you see, after a while,it comes a point where it's just brain dead.idk why.BUT,in order to play it again.you have to uninstall it,and then reinstall it all over.if that doesn't work, wait for a bout a months,or week,or whatever.then reinstall it again.it should work by then

i love sims, when this happened to me, i pressed CTRL ALT SHIFT C and ended the program, then after that it gave me the opportunity to send and error report, after that it worked fine, if that doesn't work i don't know what it could be, the disk maybe?
