THE EXAMPLES OF CHATTING.........Do you agree or disagree and why? (be carefull; no chatting allowed)! POLL!!!!!

Here are a few examples of what we (yahoo) consider chatting:

How (are you, old are you, was your day, is everyone today)?
What are you/What am I (doing, thinking of, wearing, etc.)?
Guess my/Can you guess my/What's your (name, age, sex, weight, birthday, location, etc.)?

We also consider questions that call out other users by name to be chatting. If the intent is to ask a follow-up question in response to someone else’s question and that person is not available via email or IM, post a new question that’s open to everyone in the community to answer – there might be someone else who’s better equipped to answer it.

I am not going to chat and you can't make me!! With these guidelines, I would guess that over 80% of the questions that are asked in here would follow under the we can violate you category!! It is abused and for the wrong reasons and to the wrong people!!
**I agree with you!! It should be abolished!! These are innocent things that are not harming anyone, they should go after the people that are causing harm in here instead!!**

Miss Ellie I can always count on you to make sense of the insanity!
Why in the world are so many people getting reported for chatting? Why can't yahoo abide by it's own rules!

They made the category name "Polls and Surveys" a violation in it's very self. If you love P&S kiss it goodbye and be ready for the day. This is a commercial invention and not an experiment in community socialism. You are being used.

This is supposed to be Yahoo Q&A. But not between 2 people. If certain ones are reluctant to post their e-mail or IM intended for that purpose they have no right to turn this into their own personal chat room.

Some answers really wouldn't be right without addressing the person by name. It's not like I'm writing them a letter when I do it, it's usually just important in my meaning if I use their name.

Kinda of puts the kibosh at times to effective communication with on another and the means to promote harmony.

I think that chatting thing is stupid. But that's yahoo for you. They say if you want to chat, then go their chatrooms, but boy those have died in the last little bit.

I disagree because asking how old you are etc. is technically a poll.
