High pressure most of the time gives you a nice day, but there a thing called a dirty high, where, clouds and sometimes very light rain fall, as for low pressure, it usually gives lots of rain and in certain circumstance gusty winds. However in the summertime, low pressure can give you one whale of a heat wave. This is called a Thermal Low.
