Its a very good album. The beats alone make it top 5 albums this year. Lupe does a really good job of flowing and making the album work. I like how cohesive it is, too.

So many people were talking about how intelligent and different Lupe is, and that affected how i looked at his music. Its not intelligent or THAT different. This album is a lot like Living Proof, where the beats are really good and the flows are good enough to keep you into it. But it definitely isn't some epic intelligent deep poetry thing like ppl make it out to be. He doesnt say anything deep or poetic, but its good music and I think that thats what it should be looked as. I have a problem with people calling him the next Nas or 'the savior of hip hop', but the music came out great, which is the most important part. This is a lot better than Food and Liquor.

What are your opinions on this album?

WOW...Im glad you gave it a chance, I didnt think that was going to happen...Im surprised by the praise as well...I know it was the stans that really turned you off to the dude...But he was never as bad as you thought he was...Like you said, he flows really well...No he aint Nas...and his lyrics arent going to change the world...But he does make good music...

Now that Yay said it...Are you B.S.ing???

Im glad you liked it...

I too consider it a VERY good album. Production was tight, and it's incredibly consistent. I wouldn't call him the savior, but he is def. doing his best to make great music.

Lyrically, I think he stepped it up from Food & Liquor. While his stuff may not be anything poetic or innovative, you have to give him props for doing something that sounds so good. The thing that stood out to me the most about the album is that Lupe is very versatile - the dude switched up his flow multiple times, throughout the album, and he did it so smoothly too.

It's my album of the year, no doubt in my mind about that one. Hip-Hop Saved my Life is a ridiculous track, and top to bottom production was bananas, but he backed it up with some clever metaphors and stories. One of the best new releases in a few years I would say.

I haven't stopped listening to the album since I got it on Tuesday.

I love the album and i think it's better then food and liquor. I don't think he's overrated and many people don't even know who lupe fiasco is especially around here. I think lupe is deep and too me it's like poetry. You probbly need too listen too the album alot more too get the meanings of the lines before you say he's not deep. anyways its my favorite album of this year. Have a good day

Edit: By the way why do you hate hip hop fans except for the ones on here?

if you can relate to it then it saves you!

i listened to it on Leak and the ONLY reason why i'm "buying" the album is b/c of Nikki Jean. she's a featured artist on Hip Hop Saved My Life and the track about guns!

Kick Push is still the ****!

And Dumb It Down is wicked!

I love Lupe. Can't NOT love him!

The Cool is fresh and he knew it, hence: The Cool!

def my top 5..

Im tryin to wait a few days give ppl time to analzye the whole thing, and i wanna see what everybody thought about it.
lol but i guess u beat me.

ALL the Beats on the CD are sick, and you really gotta pay attention to his lyrics, because ALOT of it has a Double Meaning.

Incase u didnt know the Entire Cd is based on 3 people, The Coolest, The Streets, and the Game. MOST of the songs on the Cd are about them

like on The Coolest he isnt say MY Cool young History, hes saying Michael Young History(The Coolest) and the Streets is his Girlfriend. and the Game is like his friend or somethin like that.. i dont really know.

I thought it was pretty deep stuff, Paris, Tokyo and Streets on Fire are my fav songs

Oh yeah, pay attention to how distinctive he replaced into back then, while gangsta rap replaced into cool so he replaced into pretending to be a gangster. lol I do like that song. i replaced into nevertheless a teenager approximately 3 months in the past and already i think of the song I listened to in my teenager years has advance into uncool. lots has replaced merely in the previous 7 years (age 13-20). I nevertheless save up with new song (i'm merely 20 in spite of everything), yet further and extra I save criticizing new song. i will image myself sooner or later being a sort of those that talks with regard to the song "back in my day" - at last it happens to anybody lol.

I just listened to it on bet.com, and my favorite song is Go Go Gadget Flow. He's no Nas now, but none of us can see into the future. I see him getting to a much higher level one day.
